When do you choose shallow recessed spotlights?

Shallow recessed spotlights are intended for situations where there is little space available above the ceiling. This includes suspended ceilings, renovations, or places where pipes and beams limit the installation space.

Pay attention not only to the depth of the fixture but also to any driver, terminals, and ventilation space. This will prevent a spot from seeming to fit technically but proving too deep in practice.

What to look for?

  • Carefully measure the available space above the ceiling.
  • Check the total installation depth, including the driver or bulb.
  • Only choose GU10 if there is sufficient space for the bulb.
  • Use fixed LED spotlights if a low installation depth is important.
