Connection cable for recessed spotlights 1.5mm2

This connection cable for recessed spotlights is suitable for neatly connecting GU10 fittings, recessed spotlights, and other lighting above a suspended ceiling. The cable is flexible, easy to install, and intended for use in combination with a suitable junction box, connection box, or mini junction box.

Most modern recessed spotlights are double-insulated and do not have an earth connection. In that case, there is no earth connection, and a 2-core cable is sufficient for connecting live and neutral. This is the most common choice for GU10 recessed spotlights and separate GU10 fittings without an earth connection.

If the existing installation does have an earth wire, or if you want to connect the earth to a next connection point, choose the 3-core version with earth. Also, if a luminaire has an earth connection, it must be connected correctly.

Important: an existing earth in the installation must not simply be cut off or ignored. If earth is present but the spot itself does not require earth, it must be neatly connected through or safely terminated in the junction box. This ensures that the installation remains suitable for any future luminaires that do require earth.

Electrical connections must always be made in a suitable junction box or connection box. Do not use the cable with loose connections above the ceiling.

Which variant do you choose?

2 x 1.5 mm² – without earth
Choose this variant for most GU10 recessed spotlights and Class II luminaires without an earth connection. This cable contains live and neutral.

3 x 1.5 mm² – with earth
Choose this variant if the luminaire has an earth connection, or if you want to include and connect the earth in the installation in the junction box. This cable contains live, neutral, and earth.
