This black power cord with plug 3 x 1.5 mm² is suitable for connecting lighting or electrical appliances to a standard wall socket. The cord features a moulded black plug and a 3-core cable with live, neutral and earth wires.
The 3 x 1.5 mm² cable cross-section makes the cord suitable for common lighting applications and electrical connections. The black design is particularly practical when the cord remains visible, for example, with black fixtures, showroom setups, temporary lighting or applications where a dark cable blends in better.
At the end of the cord there are three wires:
- brown: live
- blue: neutral
- yellow/green: earth
If the connected product does not have an earth connection, the earth wire must be safely and neatly terminated. Electrical connections should always be made in a suitable junction box, connector box or a designated connection point.
Please note: this power cord is intended for situations where connection via a plug is desired. For fixed installation above a ceiling or permanent connection of recessed spotlights, a connection via a suitable junction box or connector box is usually the neater and safer solution.
